George G. Spanos
George was born in 1972 in Athens, Greece and he is a long descent from a shipping & historical family of Ikaria Island.
George has studied and specialized in Humanities & Psychology, Greece, Mech. Engineering, Wales, Int'l Shipping & Logistics, BA London, Creative Writing, Hellenic Studies and Early Christian Literature in a joint Harvard & MIT Expertise Course, Terrorism & Counterterrorism, Hague, EU Matters, HEC Paris, and Crisis-Disaster-Environment Management Strategies, MSc Athens.
He's been a frontline entrepreneur in shipping, logistics, shipowning, shipmanagement, forwarding and trading companies. He's founded, bought, restructured, operated and sold transport companies in Greece, and represented Shipyards from France, China and Colombia.
George has also been the Honorary General Consul of Colombia in Athens, for seven years till 2012. He enjoyed awards, and high distinctions from various Greek and Colombian Authorities and Institutions, due to his intensive and efficient handling of delicate humanitarian matters, and for strenghtening the bilateral economic relations through cultural & business diplomacy.
He's a fun and strong follower of Cultural Diplomacy, which he finds as the most useful, influential and effective tool for the way out of Greek crisis. George has served as President, BoD member or Consultant in various Cultural Institutions and Clubs, always related with international resonance promoting Greek humanitarian & cultural values.
George officialized his Political sense and analysis with his 2004 Candidacy in the Greek National Elections. Till then, he was an unofficial consultant to MP's and Parties on Shipping, Cultural & Humanitarian issues.
As a natural emotional intelligent person, he espoused Paul Ekman's work and contribution in Recognizing, Detecting & Analyzing Micro-Subtle Facial Expressions, and he is trained as an Expert in understanding hidden feelings, detecting lies and personal coaching.
George, remains eager for new challenges in order to enrich, consolidate and share his genuine insight on humanitarian, political and multicultural matters, as well as, on innovative business development projects advising Int'l Organizations, whereas, as a Fund Advisor, he mentors Startuppers and coaches courageous entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into scalable and profitable investments, by disrupting conventional industries.
From his youth, George, is more than anything else, a natural digger of history and a passionate writer who's scope is bringing to light real life inspirational stories. He personally selects and manages new and established writers on the way to publish and foreign resonance, between Greece and the rest of the world.

Ο Γιώργος Γ. Σπανός γεννήθηκε το 1972 στην Αθήνα και κατάγεται από ναυτιλιακή και ιστορική οικογένεια τής Ικαρίας.
Τα τελευταία είκοσι χρόνια δραστηριοποιείται ενεργά στο χώρο της Nαυτιλίας των Logistics, και των Καινοτόμων Επιχειρήσεων (Innovative Startups). Είναι Μέντορας, στο Athens Center of Entrepreneurship & Innovation (ACEin), του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου της Αθήνας.
Έχει διακριθεί για τις υπηρεσίες του στη Διεθνή Διπλωματία, την Πολιτική, και για τη συμμετοχή του σε πολιτιστικές και κοινωνικές δράσεις ανά την Ελλάδα.
Οι βασικές του σπουδές ήταν Mechanical Engineering και Shipping, Transport & Logistics στο Λονδίνο. Στη συνέχεια εξειδικεύτηκε σε θέματα Ευρωπαϊκής Διακυβέρνησης (HEC Παρίσι), στην Αντιτρομοκρατία (Leiden, Χάγη), όπως επίσης και στην Κλασσική Ελληνική Λογοτεχνία και Πρωτοχριστιανική Γραμματεία, (Harvard και ΜΙΤ) και στις Στρατηγικές Διαχείρισης Κρίσεων-Καταστροφών-Περιβάλλοντος (ΕΚΠΑ). Είναι ειδικός σε θέματα αναγνώρισης τής απάτης και του ψεύδους μέσω της ψυχογραφικής ανάλυσης, των μικροεκφράσεων του προσώπου, της γλώσσας τού σώματος και της συναισθηματικής νοημοσύνης.
Από μικρό παιδί και στον ελεύθερο χρόνο του, ερευνά και φέρνει στο φως αληθινές ιστορίες, ενώ αρθρογραφεί και συγγράφει λαμβάνοντας αφορμές, όχι μόνο από τις πολυσχιδείς προσωπικές κι επαγγελματικές του εμπειρίες, αλλά κι από εκείνες που παραμένουν άγνωστες στο ευρύ κοινό, ή ανέκδοτες, κι αξίζουν να διασωθούν ώστε να εμπνεύσουν πραγματικά τον σημερινό αναγνώστη. Και γι' αυτό ακριβώς τον λόγο, επιλέγει και αναλαμβάνει να οδηγήσει προσωπικά, νέους ή υπάρχοντες συγγραφείς, στην έκδοση και στην διεθνή μεταφορά των έργων τους.
